In 2021, John co-founded Smartchain, using blockchain technology to automate payment workflows for upstream vendor contracts. Recognising that smart contract validity depends entirely on data quality, he established IDC in 2023 to certify drilling data from sensor to repository — and built CertifAI to deliver it.

A 30-year veteran of the oil and gas industry with senior marine and mechanical management roles across rig new builds, conversions, reactivations, and upgrades. Marcos holds an MBA specialising in Carbon and Project Management, ensuring iDC Solutions meets the specific needs of operators and drilling contractors.
